About Jake Shelton

Jake graduated near the top of his class from the Texas A&M University School of Law in 2015. While in law school, he had an article published in the Cornell Real Estate Review entitled Constitutional Constraints on Using Eminent Domain to Write-Down Underwater Mortgages, which won Cornell’s Capstone Advisors Most Outstanding Article Award. The article is available here.

Jake has been licensed to practice law in the State of Texas since 2015. His areas of practice consist of Estate Planning, Probate, Business Law, and residential and commercial Real Estate (with a heavy emphasis on Construction Law). Jake is a member of the Tarrant County Probate Bar Association, the Mahon Inn of Court, the Texas Bar College, and the Arlington Chamber of Commerce.

When he is not working, Jake enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and dogs; spending time outdoors; woodworking and supporting his community in various ways through his memberships with Arlington Masonic Lodge #438, the Fort Worth Valley of the Scottish Rite, and the Moslah Shriners in Fort Worth.
